What is Harmony Hearts?

Harmony Hearts provides safe, stable shared housing for individuals who can live independently. Furnished private and shared-room options may be available.

Is Harmony Hearts free housing?

No. Harmony Hearts is paid shared housing. We do not provide free housing or emergency shelter. Residents are responsible for their monthly housing payment and any applicable move-in fee.

How can my housing be paid for?

Housing may be paid through employment income, SSI, SSDI, retirement income, private funds, family support, an agency, a sponsoring organization, or another verified source of assistance.

Do I need income to qualify?

Applicants must have sufficient income or confirmed third-party assistance to cover the monthly housing payment. If an agency, organization, or another person will pay, that assistance must be verified before move-in.

What if I currently have no income?

Applicants without personal income may apply if an agency, program, family member, or other sponsor has agreed to pay their housing expenses. Harmony Hearts cannot approve a placement based only on the possibility of receiving future assistance.

Is Harmony Hearts an emergency shelter?

No. Harmony Hearts is not an emergency shelter and cannot provide immediate or temporary free placement. Every applicant must complete the review process before being approved.

Does Harmony Hearts provide family housing?

No. Harmony Hearts is not a family-housing program. Children cannot reside at the property.

Who is eligible to apply?

Applicants must be able to live independently, follow the house rules, live safely in a shared residential environment, and demonstrate how their housing payment will be covered.

Does submitting an application guarantee acceptance?

No. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval, room availability, or placement. Applications are reviewed based on eligibility, available space, ability to meet financial obligations, background-screening results, and compatibility with the shared-living environment.

Are private and shared rooms available?

Harmony Hearts may offer private and shared-room arrangements, depending on availability. Applicants may indicate their preference, but a specific room type is not guaranteed.

Are couples accepted?

Harmony Hearts provides housing to individual residents. We do not offer couples’ rooms or guarantee that two applicants can be housed together.

Is Harmony Hearts a drug-free environment?

Yes. Harmony Hearts is a drug-free and alcohol-free environment. The possession, use, distribution, or sale of illegal drugs or alcohol on the property is strictly prohibited. Applicants and residents must agree to follow this policy.

Does Harmony Hearts conduct criminal background checks?

Yes. A criminal background check is required as part of the application process. Applicants must provide accurate information and complete the required authorization. Providing false or incomplete information may result in denial or cancellation of placement.

Can someone with a criminal background qualify?

Applicants with convictions involving sexual offenses or violent crimes are not eligible for placement at Harmony Hearts. These offenses are not permitted under our resident-safety requirements.

What does “able to live independently” mean?

Residents must be able to manage their personal care, medications, mobility, daily needs, and basic responsibilities without continuous staff supervision or hands-on medical assistance. Harmony Hearts is not a nursing home or assisted-living facility.

Can I request a reasonable accommodation?

Yes. Applicants may request a reasonable accommodation related to a disability. Additional information may be requested to understand the accommodation needed. Harmony Hearts does not provide medical or personal-care services.

What documents may be required?

Applicants may be asked to provide identification, proof of income or benefits, verification of third-party assistance, background-screening authorization, and other documents needed to complete the application review.

How soon can I move in?

Move-in timing depends on room availability, completion of the application and background-screening process, payment arrangements, and final approval. A requested move-in date is not guaranteed.

How do I apply?

Complete the Harmony Hearts housing application and provide all requested information. Incomplete or inaccurate applications may delay the review process.
